Abstract

Background. The relevance of the topic of the article is due to the need to use the traditional industry of agro-industrial complex (agriculture) digital technologies and to carry out bold experiments, thanks to which it will be possible to get a powerful impetus for the growth of the industry. The purpose of the work is to analyze the peculiarities of introduction and development of effective, digital technologies in agriculture of Russia, to review the results of introduction of digital technologies by Russian agricultural enterprises, which are in the vanguard of digital modernization, to identify factors on which the availability of introduction of digital technologies in enterprises of agro-industrial complex is directly dependent.
Materials and methods. The goal of the study was achieved through analysis of programs and industry projects, in order to identify key factors that contribute to digitalization of management on the basis of accessibility of digital technologies, including big data, blockchain, artificial intelligence, robotics, etc., at enterprises of agro-industrial complex.
Results. The examples discussed in the article of successful introduction of digital technologies in modern agricultural enterprises show that each new technology has its own specific and on the other hand quite attractive properties for agricultural enterprises, which allows them to switch to a new model of economic behavior. Key factors necessary to stimulate digital transformation in agro-industrial enterprises are identified.
Summary. The study reveals the potential economic impact of the digitalization of the agro-industrial complex and the importance of using the potential of digitalization in the near future by many Russian agricultural enterprises to achieve the goals set.
